Online poker players and poker supporters in general now have a chance to get their thoughts on legalizing online poker onto President-Elect Barack Obama’s radar.
Obama has asked the American people for input on what they would like to see him do over the next four years. In order to make that happen, the Obama transition team has set up an area of their Web site, Change.gov, to gather that input.
The section is called the Citizen’s Briefing Book, and gives people a place to submit their ideas for Obama to focus on as well as to vote on the ideas already there that they agree with.
One topic already suggested on the site is the legalization and regulation of online poker.

As popular as the Aussie Millions Poker Championship has become, no one was quite prepared for the fanfare and enthusiasm surrounding the 2007 event. Leading up to the tournament, the online poker site and official Aussie Millions sponsor, Full Tilt, had launched a media campaign to secure ample media coverage. What they got was downright media frenzy, with every local and national news organization following their every move. From the minute they touched down on the tarmac of Melbourne’s airport, pros were swarmed by press and fans. It was as if the entire country was focused on every hand of poker and every golf swing executed by a poker player.

The 2009 Aussie Millions in Melbourne, Australia, may not see its biggest events until this weekend, but the series is already making news with the winners of its first events.
Mel Judah, a former Aussie resident, picked up a win this week in Event 3 of the tournament series, an Omaha Hi-Lo event. According to the Aussie Millions Web site, the $1,100 Omaha Hi-Lo event is one of the smaller tournaments, but because it is one of the more specialized, it brings out many familiar pro faces.
This time around Judah was more than just a pro face in the crowd as he topped a field of 102 players that included Ivan Demidov and Alexander Kostritsyn to win $30,600.
Judah also picks up an Aussie Millions championship ring valued at $4,000 for the win.
That takes Judah up to more than $3.1 million in tournament winnings.

Brandon told us that he just ran into a friend he hadn’t seen in years that was on his honeymoon but they kept getting bumped on flights because they were all either oversold or too heavy. They eventually Read full
